What is a will?
A Will is a legal document that clearly sets out your wishes for the distribution of your assets in the unfortunate event of your death and who you want to appoint as your executor, that is, the person who will be responsible for distributing your estate.
Having a clear, legally valid and up-to-date Will is the best way to ensure that your assets are protected and distributed according to your wishes.
If you don’t have a Will the your assets will be distributed according to a pre-determined formula with certain family members receiving a defined percentage of your assets despite what you may have wished.
